Annapurna Base Camp Trek: A Four-Day Adventure through the Himalayas

We, a group of nine people, decided to begin our Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek starting from Kartik 13. Since we didn't have much time to spare, we quickly made our plans, and the entire trip lasted only four days.

Let me take you through the route we followed for our ABC journey.

On Day 1, we traveled from Pokhara to Jhinu by jeep, which took about three hours. Once we reached Jhinu, we proceeded towards our destination, passing through Jhinu, Chomrong, and then to Upper-Sinuwa.

On the second day, we began our trek early. On Day 2, we covered the route from Bamboo to Dovan, then to Himalaya, followed by Deurali, and finally to Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC).

With only two days remaining for the Annapurna Base Camp trek, on Day 3, we hiked from MBC to ABC and then back from MBC to Bamboo. We were aware that we were rushing, but due to our tight schedule, we couldn’t afford to spend more time than we had planned.

On the final day of our journey, we packed our bags and traveled back from Bamboo to Upper Sinuwa, Lower Sinuwa, Chomrong, Jhinu, and finally to Pokhara.

For those new to ABC trekking, make sure to carry no more than 5-7 kg in your backpack. Also, stay well-hydrated. Carry at least 4 liters of water to keep yourself hydrated throughout the trek.
