Movie Review: Purna Bahadur ko Sarangi

Purna Bahadur ko Sarangi is different from the regular mainstream movies but people at Ini cinemas Butwal applauding for the movie at the end with tears in eyes simply sums up for how the movie was. I saw the crowd clapping in admiration as they leave the cinema after a long long time.

Purna bahadur ko sarangi review

The tale of struggle and dreams of a street musician 'gandarbha' to see his son as a respected person, the respect he himself is deprived of keeps people indulged for the entire duration. The story telling is phenomenal and Bijay Baral has done an amazing job as the lead protagonist' Purna Bahadur'. However, Mukun Bhusal as 'Birey' deserves special mention.

I just fall short of words to describe Prakash Saput's act in the climax scene which would shake even the strongest heart. The movie has a bit of light moments at the beginning and progresses with some intense scenes with how the protagonist struggles so that his son escapes the loop of poverty and social stigma.

The movie director deserves credit for an amazing job as how he has smoothly presented transformation of different characters and also how small details have not been overlooked in making of the movie. The symbolic representation in various scenes is another strong aspect of the movie. My rating would be ⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Warning: If you have a soft heart then carry tissues along with you.
